Task 3

Transcript:

Hello, me (Patryk) and Taylor are working together to create our own game, and this is our pitch. Our game is called Cosmic Constructor, and is a game we've had in mind for a while.

Our game is a space-based shooter, which will be consisting of multiple enemies and levels. A game consisting of levels between planets and space stations, you fight hoards of varying enemies (and difficulty!) from level to level, being able to upgrade and add power ups to your ship as you progress, as each level gets harder and harder.

The game is a scrolling shooter created in Construct 2, using various mechanics to make the enemies smarter than they can be in other comparable development software. We have a tech demo of our game at a barebones level. 

To our knowledge, it has been a long while since there has been a game where you fight level by level, upgrading and watching your ship progress! Upgrades such as turrets, temporary shields and other various power-ups that we will add as our game progresses!

With our game created on Construct 2, our music will be made on a website for MIDI creation known as http://onlinesequencer.net/ and our sprites created on http://www.piskelapp.com/ as it allows us to create high quality, free sprites and animations. 

We took inspiration from games like Faster Than Light and Master of Orion, both great games based in space, with combat and construction of the ship!
